15-hour #golf challenge raised £5,000 for #charity

Golfers from North Lincolnshire have taken part in a 15-hour golf challenge to raise more than £5,000 for charity.

Called the Longest Golf Day Challenge, the event puts two teams against each other over the course of four rounds of golf to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. This year’s event took place at Holme Hall Golf Club, Scunthorpe

Mr Parkin’s team, called Holme Hall United, included three other players Ady Griffin, Graham Lee and Andrew Watson and raised £4,586.84 for the charity. The team managed 309 shots over the four rounds.

The Macmillan Longest Day Golf Challenge is a UK wide event which last year saw more than 2,000 teams take part.

The other team that took part in the challenge managed to raise £1,105 for Macmillan.
