The “Chicken Run” has been growing year on year since 2010 when it was first developed by Mick Worrall to help raise funding to support the Midlands Air Ambulance. Comprising of a 52 Mile Motorcycle run From Junction 2 M5 ( Hopwood Services ) and taking a scenic route through Worcestershire countryside before arriving at Stourport-on-Severn. Now comprising of several hundred Motorcyclists all playing their part in giving to a worthwhile and much needed charity.

Midlands Air Ambulance (principal Beneficiary ) receives no government funding for it’s life saving services , The Helicopter is a regular in our skies and requires approx £2,500 per hour to run for operational duties. Mick Worrall “Chicken Mick” founding organiser for the annual event has now totalled over £15,000 in his fundraising efforts to help keep our lifesaver airborne through a combination of running the annual CCR event and in his spare time going out collecting personally for the cause.

CCR is dependant on all participants & Volunteers to help gain the much needed funding, Without that participation and the Volunteers both behind the scenes and on the day CCR simply could not possible. For this CCR and its main organisers are eternally grateful for all those past & present that have contributed to making the run a success
